President Rodrigo Roa Duterte in his State of the Nation
Address (SONA) has uttered that there will be no more peace talks with communist rebels.
This is a total reversal of the stand of the President in
his first (1st) SONA last year, where “peace” will always be on top
of his agenda while he sits in Malacañan.

“Kayong
nga left (You, leftists), I will not talk to you. Why should I?” Duterte said.
“Times
have changed because God placed me here and I have to take care of a Republic,”
the President said.
The
communist has branded the president as a “bully” in his dealing with the
former, which has irritated the president.
“Bully
daw ako? Talaga, bully ako especially to the enemies of the state (They called
me a bully? Yes, I am a bully, especially to enemies of the state),” he said.
The
president reiterated that his administration “would enforce laws against
anarchy, disturbance, and violence”.
Sison
is sick

The
president made publicly known during his SONA that Jose Maria Sison- the
Communist party of the Philippines (CCP) founder, is afflicted with a critical
disease.
Members
of the Armed Forces of the Philippines and the Philippine National Police have
been subjected to ambushes by the New People’s Army (NPA) even if the
government troops are in civilian clothes or just even by doing market chores.
Also just recently the NPA fired at the vehicle of the Presidential convoy,
hoping that the President is there.
“This is
my proposal, I may be totally wrong and I will accept it… from now on I will
save money for the Armed Forces of the Philippines. We have lost so much
soldiers and there are thousands already incapacitated to fight, pati yung
police ko araw-araw ninyong ina-ambush pati yung convoy ko…,” Duterte said.
“Pati akong…gago…pati ako Patayin…sabagay malayo
ako dun e. Pero convoy ko kasi yun e…Gago pati yung convoy ko ambush-in. Hindi
nila alam na nakasibat na ako,” he said.
