COMELEC Chief Bautista: God said "not yet" (re him resigning)

Issues of different topics happening in the country has forgotten about Commission on Elections Chairman Andres Bautista.

From the unexplained deaths of the One Time Big Time operations in Bulacan, Kian’s death in Caloocan, Karl and Kulot’s unexplained death, to the granting of the House of Representatives P1,000 budget for the Commission on Higher Education for the year 2018- the issue about COMELEC Andy  Garcia was almost forgotten.

Soul searching-  that is what he’s been up to… trying to comprehend, understand and rationalizing maybe what is his next step- after his fellow commissioners told him to resign for the sake of COMELEC last month, also includes a number of factions calling for him to step down. *

"Patuloy ang aking pag-iisip at pagdarasal. Meron ako nabasa - God answers prayer in 3 ways, either yes, not yet or I have a better plan for you. Siguro yun nga, yung pagli-leave or pag re-resign parang ang sagot sa akin ay 'not yet.' Tignan po natin sa mga susunod na mga araw kung ano ang mangyayari. Again, patuoy po ang ating pagninilay-nilay kung ano ang dapat gawin," Bautista told radio DZMM.

Last month, In a statement, Comelec Commissioners Robert Lim, Al ParreƱo, Luie Tito Guia, Arthur Lim, Ma. Rowena Guanzon and Sheriff Abas said Bautista “can no longer effectively lead the commission,” in the light of recent “collateral issues” hounding him, including an endorsed impeachment case before Congress and allegations of ill-gotten wealth hurled by his estranged wife Patricia Cruz.

“In our view, while due process of law will take its normal course, Chair Bautista’s defense will not be spirited but arduous, to say the least. He will need to devote all his time, energy and effort,” the statement read.

Chairman Bautist then, brushed the statement and said the commissioners’ proposal “are options that I have been considering and praying over. When I decide, they will be the first to know.” *

Chairman Andy Bautista is an appointee of former President Benigno Simeon “Noynoy” Aquino III.
